
I started my Paleo Quest on February 2nd 2009. I've been reflecting on the last few months on my ups & downs, and to be honest I haven't had many Downs. My first two weeks were my biggest challenge. I was detoxifying my body from sugar & starches. I had mood-swings, a lack of energy and trouble sleeping. After the first two weeks my body started feeling great, everything started falling in place.
I didn't buy special food. I didn't weigh out portions. I didn't join weight watchers, or listen to those ridiculous claims on TV. Everywhere I go I see heavy people who are miserable. I always share my story, especially with people who know me, that I haven't seen for some time. I do at times have a bowl of ice cream, or some pizza, but I always get back on track. That's why diets don't work, you need to treat yourself once or twice a week, or you will fall off the wagon.
