~Cholesterol~


I had my Cholesterol checked a few days ago. My total Cholesterol dropped 7 points. I guess I expected more of a drastic drop. My bad Cholesterol (LDL) was the same as it was before I started my Paleo diet at 142. I'm not too concerned about my LDL count, as I've been told, and researched the subject of particle size. My HDL (good Cholesterol) jumped 10 points, which is good.


My HDL's make it clear that I'm pretty high in my natural fat consumption, that is highly associated with mostly large fluffy LDL's and little to no small dense LDL particles. From what I've learned, the smaller particles will build up deposits in your arteries, while the large fluffy particles will float through. I'd like to have some additional tests done, however I will wait until my next physical. The results below is my blood work from last November, the column on the right is my results from a few days ago.
